After earning a business degree, I returned to study photography at MacEwan University, choosing to capture connection, emotion, and the beauty of everyday moments.

My work is rooted in people… in who they are, what they feel, and what makes them them. I specialize in timeless imagery that reflects relationships and memories. Whether I’m photographing a couple in love, a growing family, or a passionate small business owner... I’m here to tell your story with care, creativity, and intention.

As a Palestinian artist, my heritage deeply influences my art. Just like the name Poppy Roots, drawn from Palestine’s national flower and the meaning of staying grounded. My work is infused with a sense of history, culture, and identity. Outside of photography, you’ll find me creating art through Palestinian embroidery (tatreez), painting, and crochet.
